In the space between death and oblivion, where no god dares to tread, lies a realm known only as Salvation. It is not a haven, though its name suggests mercy. Forged by forgotten powers at the beginning of sorrow, Salvation is a place for souls too heavy to ascend, too noble to be damned — those who did wrong for reasons they believed were right.

When they were alive, Steve & Civetta were a bartender couple for various clubs as well as adventurers in their own right all over Eorzea. After death claimed Civetta at the Tower of Zot, Steve would end up following her in death, having the both of them land in Hell as demons. During their stay, they would serve three different devil lords and kings, only to find themselves released of their contracts, and given the chance to leave Hell. They ended up finding out they were allowed to wander up to the Heavens anytime they pleased, as well as travel to other worlds in the name of the ones they serve. They never reveal the name of their contractor, but they were allowed to keep their talents and abilities of collecting and guiding souls to where they needed to be. This landed them at the gates of Salvation. Don't be afraid of the Wingus bartenders; they have your best interest in mind with your drink... and your soul....
